London To Brighton Bike Ride

Having taken up cycling less than 1 year ago and doing regular weekly 20 mile rides; I decided it was time to push myself further. Thus I signed up for the 54 miles London to Brighton Bike ride which is organized by the British Heart Foundation.

It is generally believed that you should consider yourself a serious cyclist once you do a sportive or any organised road cycling event. I was keen to do longer distances but had neither the time or opportunity. Since I cycled alone most times, there were limitations to how far I could go, thus signing up for an organized ride was the most logical thing to do. Thankfully the weather was good, though very hot.

Stuck at the bottom of Ditchling beacon at the 45 mile mark. Apparently there was an accident mid way up the hill.

Center Parcs De Kempervennen

Visited Center Parcs De Kempervennen during the 2015 summer holidays with my kids. Considering there are several Center Parcs sites in UK with the Longleat site just about 1 hour away from me, one would wonder why we had to go all the way to the Netherlands. Well, there are several reasons for that

  1. Better weather
  2. An opportunity to visit another country
  3. A lot cheaper
  4. Better experience

Which Road Will You Take?

I am sure we all have come up to cross roads at one point or the other in our sojourn on earth. The outcome differs based on the road we chose to take.  Oft times the road less traveled is the one with lots of ups and downs and to get to the end you have got to learn to get yourself up, dust yourself up and move on
