Are you on Facebook?

I have been spending a lot of time on Facebook lately trying to build a network. There are so many artists from every corner of the world there and there are so many art groups to join.

Every day I discover a new art group and they always provide an avenue to share works with other artists and to get your work to be seen.

It is also a perfect way to promote one’s website or product.

I have 2 pages on Facebook now and though the growth is slow, my fan base is gradually growing. The first one is about me as a visual artist and the other is about my paintings.

There is just so much one can do and the advantages are overwhelming. Yet again to do well one has to devote a lot of time to it and spend an awful lot of time on Facebook. And this is the time one could use to paint.

Yet again what's the use of producing paintings when there's no one to see them?

Are you on Facebook? If not, I think you should give it a thought because it is fun and is a very good way of building up one's viewership.

As an artist, it is very important to have your art seen by others. Not only does it increase the chances of selling your pieces it also brings you as an artist out for other artists to know. 

As someone who isn't an artist, it is also a good place to get connected with old schoolmates, neighbours or people you share a common interest with.
