Thank you
Letters like this remind me of why I chose to become a medical doctor.
In a climate filled with a total lack of tolerance for mistakes and unimaginable expectations on doctors; it is always nice when someone takes the time to say thank you.

Dear Sir or Madam,
I would like to thank you for the outstanding help I have received in the last couple of years. Dr Nkolika Anyabolu has been tremendous in her care and attention to me and I am so sad to hear that she is leaving the practice.
Dr Anyabolu has unfailingly shown empathy, care and outstanding diagnostic skills and I will forever be grateful to her for a number of ailments for which she has conquered! She is straight to the point, honest and has an incredible memory - enquiring after members of my family and my life with savant-like powers!
I have suffered for over 20 years with an intermittent skin issue for which I have sought the advice of many different doctors, who despite their best efforts, have not been able to help. Dr Anyabolu took one look at my skin when I was experiencing a flare-up and diagnosed and treated me immediately. The relief was incredible and I will forever be grateful to her. From that day, I now know that the intolerable symptoms are treatable. It is not an understatement to say that she has changed my life.
Recently, I have also been suffering greatly with hay fever for which Dr Anyabolu prescribed me a stronger antihistamine, which again has improved my quality of life as I no longer stay awake all night with severe symptoms. Although these conditions sound rather trivial, it is difficult to express how her treatment has enhanced not only my life but that of my young family who depends upon me to be fighting fit!
I felt compelled to write to the practice to highlight what an asset to the team I feel Dr Anyabolu has been. Please do pass on my sincere thanks to her and wish her and her family all the very best in the next chapter in the Purbecks. It is with a heavy heart that I say “Goodbye” but with great gusto that I say “Thank you”
Best Regards,
Patient
I am well aware that I am nowhere near as perfect a doctor as I would want to be, but I will never stop trying.
I would always remember notes like this whenever I beat myself up about things that don’t always turn out the way I anticipated.
To God be all the glory
