I have been experimenting with making ACEO art with plastic beads. This is one of the results and there are many more to come.
I love diversity. It gives me some form of joy when I make something different each time. It makes me want to go back again and again to my easel. It increases my appetitie for creating.
TheACEO was made with Acrylic paint and plastic bead on gessoed matt board.
For all my ACEOs I use gessoed matt board (also known as mounting board). I coat both sides with acrylic gesso primer. This makes it stronger and gives it tooth.
There are a lot of materials that can be used to create ACEO art.
The only rule is that it must be 2.5" x 3.5".

Painting of a bed of Tulips using Acrylic Paint. It is a speed painting from the beginning to the end. For this painting, I used both a brush and a palette knife for the petals of the Tulips.
It is always interesting seeing how a painting affects people and how people react to it. In the last few months I have taken it to Sherborne, Christchurch and Winchester where the interest it generates has only but intensified.
