London To Brighton Bike Ride

Having taken up cycling less than 1 year ago and doing regular weekly 20 mile rides; I decided it was time to push myself further. Thus I signed up for the 54 miles London to Brighton Bike ride which is organised by the British Heart Foundation.

It is generally believed that you should consider yourself a serious cyclist once you do a sportive or any organised road cycling event. I was keen to do longer distances but had neither the time or opportunity. Since I cycled alone most times, there were limitations to how far I could go, thus signing up for an organized ride was the most logical thing to do. Thankfully the weather was good, though very hot.

Stuck at the bottom of Ditchling beacon at the 45 mile mark. Apparently there was an accident mid way up the hill.
