Wessex International Medical Graduate Fellowship

I completed my time as an International Medical Graduate Fellow in September 2019. It was a great year and I had learned a lot from working with these wonderful people. Below are a few pictures.

I was tasked with creating the 1st newsletter which documented the various projects we were did and the courses we were able to set up including an Exam up-skilling course, Induction Programme for doctors new to the NHS and many more. See the 1st Wessex Deanery IMG Newsletter for more details.

In Wessex deanery there were over 168 IMGs in training as at 2018. They had emigrated from 56 countries .

Languages spoken in Wessex include English, Welsh, Yoruba, Igbo, Arabic, Bengali, Greek, Aymara, Romanian, German, Polish, Russian, Dutch, Swedish, Guarani, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Mandarin.

I was tasked with designing a World Map to show the diversity of the medical trainees in Wessex Deanery as at 2018.

You can read more about my presentation at the 2019 Wessex Medical Educators Forum and Leadership lecture.
